FeedSimple Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 10, 2026 ยท Effective immediately

Short Version

FeedSimple operates entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. No accounts. No tracking. No servers.

01

Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how FeedSimple ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with our mobile application ("App").

FeedSimple is a fully offline RSS feed reader. All functionality, including adding feeds, reading articles, and managing your reading list, occurs locally on your device. We have no backend servers, no user accounts, and no analytics infrastructure.

02

No Data Collection

We do not collect any personal information. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Name, email address, or any account credentials
  • Device identifiers, IP addresses, or hardware information
  • Location data
  • Usage statistics, analytics, or crash reports
  • The RSS feeds you subscribe to or articles you read
  • Any other personally identifiable information

Because we collect no data, we also share no data with third parties.

03

Local Storage on Your Device

The App saves data locally on your device so your feeds, settings, and reading preferences persist between sessions. This data includes:

  • RSS feed URLs you have added
  • App settings and display preferences
  • Read and unread article state

This information never leaves your device. It is stored using the standard app sandboxed storage provided by Android, is not accessible to other apps, and is deleted when you uninstall the App.

04

App Permissions

FeedSimple requests only the permissions necessary for its core functionality:

  • Internet access, required to fetch RSS feed content directly from feed sources you add. This connection is made from your device to the feed's server; we are not an intermediary.

No other permissions are requested or required.

05

Third-Party Services

FeedSimple does not integrate any third-party SDKs for advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or tracking. We use no third-party services that would receive your data.

When you fetch an RSS feed, your device makes a direct network request to the RSS feed's host server. That server may log your IP address as part of standard web server operation. We have no control over, and bear no responsibility for, the privacy practices of external feed providers.

06

Children's Privacy

Our App does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction. Since we collect no data whatsoever, the App is safe for users of all ages in terms of data privacy.

07

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify users through the App. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Given the nature of this App, specifically that it does not collect data, we do not anticipate significant changes to this policy.
